International Society for Digital Earth
Founded in 2004, the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) is a non-governmental international academic organization initiated by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and co-founded by relevant institutions at home and abroad. With the mission of benefiting society by promoting the development and realization of Digital Earth, it becomes a major force leading the global development of Digital Earth by advancing international academic exchanges and cooperation, and empowering Digital Earth technologies to play an important role in aspects such as the sustainable economic and social development, environmental protection amid global climate change, disaster prevention and governance, and world heritage and natural resources protection.
